Susan Clarke RN BA (Psych) ACQA

Susan is a Registered Nurse and Aged Care Quality Assessor with more than 25 years experience in the aged care industry. Susan has held senior management positions, including Director of Care, managing nursing homes, hostels and day therapy centres, and has worked as an Aged Care Quality Assessor for The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency (the Agency). 

Susan also has qualifications in psychology, psychoanalytic counselling, and management. She has extensive experience in project management, developing and building teams, facilitating and mediating groups and individuals in performance management and conflict resolution, and providing professional development mentoring to managers in aged care. She has developed and delivered presentations and workshops about Accreditation, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management, and Workplace Violence. Susan is an appointed member of the Panel of Administrators and Clinical Advisors, for the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, and has recently completed the Retirement Village Association Surveyors Course to undertake accreditation surveys in retirement villages throughout Australia.

Jacky Gillespie

 Jacky Gillespie has twenty years experience in nursing and midwifery in the United Kingdom and Australia prior to specialising in Aged Care Services. Jacky has a degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Business Management and has extensive experience managing Home and Community Care projects including day centres, home services, respite and transport. Working with Local Government and with a Division of General Practice Jacky has experience in writing funding submissions for State and Federal funding rounds, preparing services for accreditation, and managing business outputs and employment of staff.

As a registered Quality Assessor and member of RABQSA Jacky has worked for the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency since its inception both as an internal staff member and on a contractor basis and has assisted with the changes and improvements that have taken place in the residential aged care sector.
